Frequently Asked Questions

What is Orbismo?

Orbismo is a structured memory layer for AI assistants. Instead of storing a flat log of past conversations, it keeps the people, places, events, groups, projects, interests, and items in your life as a connected knowledge graph. Any AI tool you connect it to over MCP can then recall who's who and how things relate to each other, not just what was said in a past chat.

How is Orbismo different from other "AI memory" tools?

Most AI memory tools store embeddings of past messages and retrieve whatever is semantically closest to your question, which is useful for recalling a sentence but weak at recalling relationships. Orbismo instead stores typed entities such as a person, a place, or an event, connected by typed relationships like parent of, works at, or attended, plus long-form notes on each one. That lets your AI answer relationship questions rather than only keyword-similar ones.

Which AI tools does Orbismo work with?

Orbismo works with any AI tool that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and OpenClaw.

Can I share a world with other people?

Yes. On team plans, you can invite collaborators into a world as an Editor, who can read everything and add or edit content through a connected AI tool, or a Viewer, who has read-only access. You remain the sole owner, with full control over billing, invitations, and roles. Whatever a collaborator's AI adds shows up for the whole team in the portal right away.

Do I need to know how to code to set it up?

No. Connecting Orbismo to a supported AI tool is a one-time setup through your AI client's connector settings.

Is my data private?

A world is private to you by default. On team plans, you can invite collaborators with either Editor access, who can read and add content through a connected AI tool, or Viewer access, which is read-only. Nothing is shared until you choose to invite someone, and you remain the sole owner with full control over billing, invitations, and roles. Full detail on data handling, storage, and retention is available in the Privacy Policy.

How much does Orbismo cost?

Orbismo offers a free tier to get started, with paid plans available for larger worlds and additional features. See the pricing page for current plans.

How do I edit my world?

Talk to your AI. Adding a character, updating a detail, deleting something old: it all happens through conversation. Tell it "add my sister Sarah, she lives in Denver" or "Sarah moved to Portland" and it handles the entities, relationships, and lore for you. The portal is for browsing and searching, so if you spot something that needs changing there, tell your AI.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes, you can export or delete your world's data from your account settings at any time.

What can I actually track in Orbismo?

Every world starts with the same core entity types: people, places, events, groups, projects, interests, and items, connected by typed relationships like parent of, works at, or attended. Each entity can also hold long-form notes and be placed on a timeline, so the picture builds up as your world grows.
